IMMERSION TRAVEL WILL EMPOWER & ENABLE YOU TO SEE THE USA
IN A WHOLE BRAND NEW WAY!
IMMERSION TRAVEL adds much more to vacation time than a typical vacation. With immersion travel the traveler is a catalyst for adventure, fun and learning: you decide where you want to go according to what you want to do, learn and contribute.
Wouldn’t you enjoy:
The phrases “Immersion Travel” or “Cultural Immersion Travel” are most commonly applied to programs in foreign countries where visitors are immersed in different cultures. But you don’t have to travel abroad for an IMMERSION TRAVEL adventure.
People, lifestyles, habits, activities, preferences, history, geography, traditions, accents, games, fashion, businesses and foods differ greatly among many parts of the northern, southern, eastern and western United States. Immersiontraveler.com will help you plan trips within the U.S.A. that include interaction with the people and places that make this country great.

Volunteer
Campground hosts are needed in State Parks around the country to welcome campers, educate them about the park facilities and regulations, answer questions and assist visitors in planning their activities. The season depends upon the location, often from mid May through mid September. Hosts are asked to volunteer 30 to 40 hours weekly for a few weeks or the season. Google “state park campground hosts” and links are available to individual states like these for Texas, Oregon and California:
Try Out A Job
Seasonal tourism locations need people to work all kinds of jobs which often do not require previous experience. It’s a great opportunity to live in a new place with the income paying for the vacation. Ski Taos hires lift operators, shuttle drivers and helpers in all the hotel services. Lynn raised $4000 and biked 3,682 miles from Virginia Beach, VA to Canon Beach, OR with 26 people ages 18 to 25. Bike & Build (www.bikeandbuild.org) organizes cross country trips to benefit affordable housing projects.

I found loads of great seasonal jobs on www.coolworks.com and applied for and accepted a summer position as the breakfast/lunch cook at Stehekin Valley Ranch in Stehekin, WA, a wilderness recreation area accessible only by air, foot or water.
What an adventure!
